-A Bronx Tale

Born in the Bronx, New York, Laura Monaco was bred to be a “hustler.” She grew up in a middle class family singing oldies with her Dad and performing every chance she got. She has always known music would be an integral part of her life, but never imagined how much knowledge she could attain, and the positive outreach her voice would have on others. “I’ve never had a back-up plan and failure has never been an option for me. I’ve always thrived on people telling me, “I can’t.”

Inspired by the pop icons that came before her, Laura’s wide range of musical influences span from the 1950’s all the way through today, and include Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and P!nk. At just 15 years old, Laura became widely recognized in her community and beyond for her performance experience. Legendary venues like NYC’s Bitter End and the Cutting Room provided an intimate way for Laura to connect with her audience, while the Intrepid and a memorable performance at Shea Stadium in front of 30,000 gave Laura the opportunity to command large audiences and gain valuable insight, which she now shares with her own artists.

As a songwriter, the studio became a place of comfort and inspiration. Laura’s passion for storytelling and unique melodic hooks resonate with her collaborators and clients. Her songs have been featured on E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Chelsey Lately, Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club, and Taxi’s “Songwriter of the Month”. Samantha Cox, BMI’s asst. VP of Writer Publisher Relations has said, “Catchy pop songs and a great songwriter…Laura is a go getter and incredibly positive”.

In 2007, Laura met her husband and business partner Joey Martino, and they began writing songs and developing young talent. Their shared passion led to the formation of ET Studio Productions, a recording and artist development facility for aspiring artists and musicians. “I understand the importance and value in sharing truth with young artists. There’s no better education than experience. Learning is never ending.” This desire is evident through Laura’s continued education and Certification from Berklee College of Music as a Vocal Styles and Music Studies Professional. Laura has helped mentor artists worldwide from YouTube stars to American Idol finalists and guided her clients to appearances on “The Voice”, “America’s Got Talent”, “Rising Star,” “MTV’s MADE, and “X-Factor.”

Laura’s strong networking skills and dedication to her craft have attracted a solid team of songwriters, producers, and music professionals. Her production & publishing company, TE Music Group have shared the stage with artists such as Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Katherine McPhee, and Whitney Houston. Today, the girl with big dreams provides unique and innovative Artist Management Services, A&R, and is partner of the newly formed label, F.r.e.e.d.o.m. Records. “I have always been a sucker for hard-working young talent. I feel compelled to help them and be a part of their journey. When I first shared the stage with Lady Gaga, I knew without a shadow of a doubt, that she was going to be a superstar. I look forward to cultivating the next one!”
